Activate Your Responsibility!
UPLIFTA is more than just a reporting app. It's a platform that connects you with other concerned citizens and organizations working to improve our communities, country by country, across the Caribbean.
UPLIFTA is easy to use, free and accessible to everyone. Simply install the app, take a photo of the issue, add a description, and submit your report.

The Process
With UPLIFTA
Marcus isn’t happy with the potholes especially after his vehicle was damaged while taking his son to school.
He opens his UPLIFTA app and photographs the pothole, sending the image directly to the responsible department with GPS co-ordinates and a brief description of the issue.
The details are automatically sent to the responsible department or into their back office system. The photo is approved and an automated acknowledgement is sent to Marcus so he knows it has been received.
The details containing photo and GPS coordinates are sent directly to the relevant service area. The officer in the service area then raises the job based on the detailed information they have received from UPLIFTA, and allocates it to the correct member of staff.
The member of staff completes the job and takes a photo to show the job has been done, and then uploads it to the site, using the UPLIFTA app.
An administrator can then approve the completion photo before it is displayed on the website (or this can be automated).
Marcus is happy that his pothole issue has been resolved in a timely manner.
Without UPLIFTA
Marcus isn’t happy with the potholes especially after his vehicle was damaged while taking his son to school.
Later that day, he decides to call the responsible department and let them know roughly where the pothole is located. Once he finds the number to call, he waits in a queue for his call to be answered.
As Marcus is annoyed about the issues he exaggerates the number of potholes in the area to ensure the responsible department takes action. The officer raises the job by noting it down.
A pre-inspection is carried out to review the complexity of the issue, the back office then allocates the task to a member of staff, who completes the job.
Marcus will receive no further contact or feedback, so may keep calling until he notices the issue has been resolved.
